In an hour, Joshua will get home from work, we'll load up my suitcase, and drive two hours to the airport in Anchorage. I then will fly for 12 hours to finally make it to
Mt. Carmel!
I've been looking forward to this for some time now. Ever since we moved, I knew I would visit in the summer. It is bittersweet leaving though since I just got back to living with Joshua and things still feel "new" to us. I'm not ready to leave him again, but I am ready to see all my family and friends!
Here are the things I'm most ready to do in my hometown:
>> Snuggle and hug and kiss all over my nephews.
>> Eat some Taco Tierra
Helloooo Nacho Supreme!
>> Take some walks down College Drive
>> Definitely need a new hair do from my Aunt Ros
>> Can't wait to see all of my best girls
>> Super excited to share in my best friend's wedding day
Ah! So soon, Katelyn Casburn Johnson!
>> Munch on some catfish
We have so many types of fish here, but I've been missing some fried catfish!
>> Share some laughs with my sister
>> Meet up with one brother since he is only coming down on the 7th
Hence why I'm going home so early
>> Spend some quality time with my younger brother
Can't wait, Granters!
>> Did I mention Taco Tierra?
>> Hang out with some long lost friends I haven't seen or talked to in awhile
>> Ride bicycles with my mama
>> Relax in some rocking chairs on my mom's front porch
>> Watch the sunset at a reasonable time
At least not as late as midnight like it is here!
>> Obviously eat some sweet corn
>> And just enjoy every minute I'm there, because I'm not sure when I'll be back!
This trip is definitely going to be a great time. And because of that, I am probably not going to be on here as often as I am now. This blog has been all about Alaska, but be prepared to see some Illinois goods every once in awhile these next two weeks! See ya soon, Illinois!
Hope to meet up with you sometime while you are home.Pat, Larry, John, Joni,Teresa, Phil, Jim and Mary.
